As the Official Cancer Center of the State of New Mexico, and the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in the state, the UNM Cancer Center offers an unmatched depth and breadth of cancer care in New Mexico.

We are home to the state’s largest and most experienced team of cancer specialists. Our team of more than 85 board-certified cancer physicians, representing every area of oncology, and more than 120 cancer researchers, has been recruited from prestigious institutions from all over the world.

Every year, we treat more than 7,600 patients from every county in New Mexico and the surrounding region in more than 90,000 patient visits. The UNM Cancer Center treats roughly half of the adults and nearly all children diagnosed with cancer in the state every year.
