UNM Cancer Center Physicians

University of New Mexico Cancer Center physicians are dedicated to providing our patients with the most advanced care in a compassionate and caring environment. As the state’s largest and most experienced team of cancer experts, our physicians provide a depth and breadth of cancer care unparalleled in New Mexico.

Since our founding nearly four decades ago, we have demonstrated our dedication to patient care by recruiting the finest oncology physicians from some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions. Our Center is now home to 85 board-certified oncology physicians, representing every cancer specialty, who regularly collaborate with our more than 120 cancer researchers to bring the most cutting-edge treatments to New Mexico. UNM Cancer Center providers are grouped into multidisciplinary teams so that medical, surgical and radiation oncologists can develop treatment plans specific to each individual patient.

Last year, the UNM Cancer Center provided care for 7,600 patients in more than 90,000 patient visits, treating nearly half of all adults and virtually all children diagnosed with cancer in the state. We are pleased to provide New Mexicans with a center of such rich talent, expertise and technical ability to give patients the care they deserve, right here, at home.
