Section Title
Behavior Change Research

The goal of the Behavior Change Research (BCR) group is to help reduce gaps in cancer health for populations in New Mexico. The importance and need for cancer education and interventions will be decided by communities. Resulting research will be developed together with BCR staff. The outcome of this research will provide information on ways to decrease new cases of cancer, improve early detection, enhance treatment decision making and increase quality of life for cancer survivors.

During this process we will conduct research to:

  • Address community cancer needs.
  • Increase community involvement.
  • Find resources at the local, state and national levels.
  • Increase access to cancer information.
  • Enhance informed decision making.
