I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center. I have completed a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at the University of Washington, completing additional training in epidemiology, which I have applied to research that impacts underserved communities. My research interest centers around understanding and implementing interventions aimed at reducing disparities in gynecologic cancers in New Mexican women and improve access to screening, prevention and treatment of these cancers. I am dedicated to providing women in New Mexico with access to a wide variety of clinical trials and will work towards developing clinical trials relevant to our population. My clinical interests include ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and vulvar cancer. I have particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery with a strong emphasis on robotic surgery, cytoreductive surgery for advanced ovarian cancer, and symptom and survivorship management for women undergoing or who have completed their cancer treatment.
