Personal Statement
Dr. Stephanie Fine is a Board-certified, Assistant Professor, and Program Director of Breast Surgical Oncology. She joined the UNM Division of Surgical Oncology following completion of a fellowship in Breast Diseases, 2014. She attended UNM SOM, followed by General Surgery residency at University of Utah. She practiced in the communities of Salt Lake City and Albuquerque for 18 years before developing a breast-only practice.

Dr. Fine’s practice is highly concentrated in breast cancer, with a focus on complex cases involving multidisciplinary care. She offers advanced solutions for all types of breast disease including Scout device localization system, catheter-based radiation device, nipple-sparing and skin-sparing mastectomy techniques, access to the Alliance node-sparing clinical trial, and tailored evaluation for high risk individuals. She also maintains a special interest in the rare disease termed idiopathic granulomatous mastitis.
