Biostatistics Fellow Position


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop new statistical methodology for large-scale genetic association studies and next generation sequencing studies.
  2. Analyze, interpret and present genetic and environmental factors that are associated with cancer risk, progression and survival using advanced statistical methods and co-author peer reviewed papers.
  3. Participate in study design, grant writing, data management and analysis.
  4. May also assist in the development and application of statistical methods to evaluate the health effects of environmental exposure to multiple toxic metals.

Position Qualifications

*Applicants should have a strong quantitative background and hold a Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics or a related quantitative field.
*Candidates should have a strong programming skill, especially in R/Matlab.
*Previous interdisciplinary collaboration experience and previous experience with human genetics research are highly desirable.
