Cancer affects about 10,000 people in New Mexico each year, but what risk a particular person have? Senior Genetic Counselor Shawnia Ryan, MS, CGC, helps people to gather as much information as they can to learn their personal risk of developing cancer. She also helps them to use that information to make decisions about their screening, testing or treatment.
