Gastrointestinal Cancers Team

Enhancing Treatment through Research

The Gastrointestinal Multidisciplinary Team focuses on all the organs of the digestive system. They have expertise in treating cancers of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, liver, gall bladder, small bowel, colon, rectum and anus. The team includes medical oncologists, surgical oncologists and radiation oncologists, and also radiologists, pathologists, basic scientists, epidemiologists and population scientists. In addition to treating people with these kinds of cancers, the team conducts basic and clinical research.

Guiding You Through Treatment

Our Nurse Navigator guides you in your treatment and serves as your regular point of contact. The gastrointestinal cancer team's nurse navigator is Lisa Kroll, RN.

“Surgery is the most common treatment for colorectal cancer, but newer chemotherapies and immunotherapies are becoming available. We have a lot to offer patients with this disease and take a comprehensive team approach.”
