Research focus: (interests and expertise):
Signal transduction in immune and cancer cells Most cancer-causing genes (oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes) encode proteins that alter the function of the signaling pathways that control cell growth, death and specialized functions. By understanding these complex pathways, we expect to reveal new targets for rational drug design, leading to better anti-cancer therapy.
