Annual Giving
There are many ways to make a gift to the UNM Cancer Center, including
- cash,
- securities (stocks and bonds), or
- wills and trusts.
The UNM Cancer Center Development Office can accommodate almost any giving interest. If you wish, you may designate a specific purpose within this mission, such as research, education, patient assistance and other categories. Donors may restrict their gift to a particular cancer disease category, such as breast cancer, skin cancer, leukemia/lymphoma, etc. Donors may also choose to support the research of a particular UNM Cancer Center physician or faculty member. The Development Office is available to assist you in structuring a gift that best meets your interests and needs.
You may also contribute to the UNM Cancer Center through The United Way of Central New Mexico. All you need to do is designate all or part of your contribution to the UNM Cancer Center. The United Way of Central New Mexico does not extract a management fee from such gifts.
Your contribution to the UNM Cancer Center may qualify for a matching gift from your employer, your spouse’s employer or your previous employer if you are retired. Corporate matching gifts can leverage individual gifts and greatly increase the amount received by the UNM Cancer Center. Please contact your company’s human resources department for more information.
The UNM Cancer Center will also accept in-kind gifts. This can be anything from blankets, books and artwork to medical and research equipment. Our Development Office follows UNM’s policy for accepting such gifts, and can assist you with your donation.
Persons who contribute $1,000 or more annually to the UNM Cancer Center become members of the El Oso de Salud Society.
Please contact the UNM Cancer Center Development Office at 505-272-4443
or hope@salud.unm.edu to discuss making these types of donations.
