El Oso de Salud Society
El Oso de Salud, or “the healing bear,” is the symbol of the UNM Cancer Center and a Native American totem of power, health and protection. It represents our desire to serve with strength, courage and great ability those whose lives have been touched by cancer. Persons who contribute $1,000 or more annually to the UNM Cancer Center become members of the El Oso de Salud Society.
The El Oso de Salud Society provides individuals with the opportunity to make philanthropic contributions that support access to the best patient care, cancer prevention programs and research. You can designate how you want your gifts to the El Oso de Salud Society to be used and 100% of the funds donated stay at the UNM Cancer Center.
El Oso de Salud members receive invitations to special events, an El Oso de Salud pin and recognition in the annual report and on the El Oso de Salud plaque in the clinic. Our partners in providing state-of-the-art cancer care and driving our cutting-edge research, El Oso de Salud members are our most dedicated donors.
