New Grant Helps New Mexicans with Blood Disorders

By msequeira

Bridget Wilson, PhD, talks to Colton Shone, KOB-TV, about the new two-year $453,000 grant from the DOD to study myeloproliferative neoplasms. These are blood disorders in which the body produces too many red blood cells or too many platelets or in which the bone marrow in which these cells are made becomes too fibrous. About 200 people in New Mexico are diagnosed with these diseases each year. Read more about the grant and the work in the press release.
